‘Kermit the Hedgehog’ stylised music video

Lost in Lavender Town are a progressive/tech metal band that I have worked with a lot over the years. I’ve helped them out with (lots of) live photos, live videos, promo shoots, merch shoots and this amazing music video.

Rowan (the band ‘dad’ and guitarist) had a fantastic idea to project a huge image of Sonic the Hedgehog level sprites over the whole band. This required two huge projectors to create a usable amount of light at such a large projection size, as well as a variety of shooting techniques that really showed off the guys’ technical playing. All this was finished off with a complex colour-grade and a choppy edit, to give a nice lo-fi, VHS feel without compromising on colour and clarity.

The result is an incredibly colourful, unique, high-energy music video that perfectly complements the whole vibe of the band and the tune.
